Process

Dragonfly Designs guides each project from concept to completion with a blend of collaborative design and thoughtful leadership. Structure is provided while honoring that every project has a unique, evolving process. Every color, texture and material choice is grounded in how you live, what restores you, and what feels essential. My approach is simple: I listen first and design second.

I take on a limited number of new construction, significant renovation and furnishing projects each year. My work is best suited to clients who value thoughtful collaboration and trust a clear, organized process.

1. Discovery & Direction

Every project begins with a focused discovery phase where I clarify priorities, define desires, and establish the overall direction for the home. Meeting the project team is essential as we discuss communication, schedule, and project flow. I review or develop floor plans and carefully evaluate how the spatial layout reflects both your needs and the broader vision for the home.

2. Design Development

With visual concepts approved, materials are studied more deeply, vendors are engaged, and cohesive design solutions are refined. Key selections are made and the plans take on a more defined shape.

3. Documentation & Coordination

Behind the scenes, detailed documentation organizes and communicates every design decision. I collaborate closely with architects, builders, and artisans to maintain clarity and design intent throughout the process.

4. Installation & Completion

Furnishings are installed and thoughtful accessories are placed. The completed structure becomes a finished, living & breathing home.
